About Laura

Laura loves preschoolers and their families!  She has her master’s degree in teaching and loved teaching kindergarten and first grade, but her heart is with preschoolers.

Laura’s favorite thing about preschoolers is their honesty and enthusiasm for life. She loves teaching social/emotional well-being as well as getting kiddos ready for school. Following your heart, being a self-manager, and learning how to be a friend get her just as excited as teaching kids about reading and writing.

About Brianne

Brianne is a native Oregonian who lives blocks from the preschool with her husband, two kids, and dog. When she’s not teaching, there is a good chance you might spot her running or walking in the neighborhood. She loves to share her enthusiasm for healthy bodies and minds with her students. 

She is a licensed teacher who taught elementary school for more than a decade and is passionate about figuring out how each individual child learns. Brianne believes that preschool is a magical time where children are truly engaged with the world around them, learning at light speed. She is enthusiastic about helping children develop their social-emotional skills along with pre-literacy and math skills when they are ready. 

About Elena

My name is Elena. I currently live in Portland with my husband, Hayden, and our dog, Buddy. I love music, taking our dog on adventures, traveling, and working on projects. I started my journey in childcare three years ago when I became a nanny for an amazing family. Here I discovered my passion for engaging with children and fostering their development. I am still a nanny for that family whose little girl now attends Alameda Preschool where I met Laura and was given the opportunity to be a TA.

I am excited to extend my passion for childcare into the classroom. I hope to provide a positive and enriching environment where your little ones can explore, learn, and grow.
